How to Customize Additional CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) for your site.

With Additional CSS function in Azure Theme, you can now design your website on your own accord and add your creativity to your website. This customization option is most beneficial for those with technical expertise and knowledge.

To access the settings,

  • Open your WordPress dashboard,
  • Go to Appearance>>Customize
  • Navigate down to the Additional CSS option below the list
  • You can now see the text editor area where you can add your style your website’s appearance and layout to your own accord.

There are some things you will need to know about CSS editing area of Azure theme if you are using a keyword to navigate:

  • In the editing area, the Tab key enters a tab character.
  • To move away from this area, press Esc key by the Tab Key,
  • For Screen reader users: when in forms mode, you may need to press the Esc button twice in your keyboard.

The Azure theme’s editing field automatically highlights code syntax. You can disable this in your User profile.

To navigate to the User Profiles,

  • Save your changes, by clicking on the Publish button on your customizer.
  • Go to your WordPress dashboard, and Users>>Profile in the side panel.
  • Click on Disable syntax highlighting when editing code by clicking on the checkbox.
  • Click on Update button afterwards to save your changes.

This will disable the syntax highlighting when you are editing in Azure theme’s CSS editing area.
